Vinatigo Description
Listán Blanco de Canarias was first brought to the Canary Islands in the 18th century by the Andalusian conquerors, now it thrives here, in our volcanic soils. We cultivate it at higher altitudes to accentuate the natural freshness of the grape, and we continue to grow the vines with the traditional method of vines inherited from the Portuguese settlers in the 15th century. Our vineyards are scattered in the north of Tenerife, on the slopes and ravines that were created by the last eruptions of the Teide volcano, where the vineyards are refreshed by the sea breeze.
A delicately fragrant wine, our Listán Blanco has attractive aromas of fennel, nuts and fig leaves, with the distinctive smoked minerality that is so typical of wines grown in volcanic soils. This refreshing white wine pairs wonderfully with grilled fish, potatoes and green mojo, traditional sauce from the Islands based on garlic, cilantro and olive oil.
