Diciotto is an Aglianico from Cilento obtained from a 2003 vineyard, whose name celebrates the eighteenth anniversary of the first harvest of Zero, the first wine produced by the company. The vineyard is made up of 1.4 hectares at 150 m above sea level, on a soil typical for Cilento such as Flysh, rich in clay and limestone, which gives life to a unique and refined expression of this vine.
Tempa Di Zoe Description
Bruno De Conciliis and his partners have created Tempa di Zoè as a tribute to Cilento’s greatest native variety: Aglianico. True to his style, Bruno is fermenting all grapes with native yeasts. Contrary to Campania’s other great Terroirs originated by volcanic activity, Cilento’s soils were created by the ocean, underwater. These unique combination of limestone and sandstone (aka Flysch) provides for wines that are savory, agile and über- expressive.
A philosopher and historian, Bruno has left a career in Academia to pioneer biodynamic farming in his home region: Cilento. Indeed, Bruno was the first to introduce Rudolf Steiner’s ideas in Campania and Southern Italy, in the early ‘90s. According to Bruno, farming and agriculture, with their deep roots in Mankind’s history, are a way of living where Man and Nature coexist in a mutually supportive balance.
