Tasca D'almerita Description
On the nose, it has notes of Mediterranean scrub and flowers, Ripe strawberries with blackberries, and hints of tar, hay and coffee. The wine has evident wood aromas, given off slowly by toasty, fine-grained wood barrels. On the palate is elegant with high young tannins, intense aromas and a long and complex finish. Pronounced aromas, high acidity and high tannins make it capable of a long and promising evolution in the bottle. (30 years).

This wine opens with a bouquet of wild herbs—lavender, thyme, menthol—that evoke the hills of central Sicily. Those herbal notes infuse the palate, weaving through flavors of black plum and raspberry as the wine picks up notes of licorice toward the fresh and lively finish.
