Manni Nossing Description
You’ll encounter the Kerner grape around Germany and in other cool-climate wine regions, but it truly excels in Alto Adige. In a subregion known as the Valle Isarco, a narrow valley in the Dolomites pointing north toward the Italy-Austria border, Manni Nössing has established himself as the Kerner maestro. The combination of a Riesling-esque burst of lime with fragrant hints of tropical fruits, followed by a clean and crisp finish, make this white a refreshing match to a variety of delicious cuisines. I recommend it alongside spicy ahi poké, Italian-style crudo garnished with citrus, or your favorite winter salad.
