Jameson - Caskmates Irish Whiskey NV (3L)

The 2002 vintage has a pale gold colour with silver accents. It has a brilliant aspect and effervescence is lively and long-lasting.

Fragrant hay, apple and stone-fruit aromas waft from the bouquet. Though it offers a dried-pear herb-mineral profile in the mouth, and an even, effervescent mouthfeel, don't expect much bead in the glass. Finishes long and dry, but flavorful.

The NV Brut offers up attractive notes of smoke, tar, rich ripe pears and flowers in a medium to full-bodied style. There is a good measure of persistence, although the wine could use a little more polish on the finish. This is Lot 14009913, disgorged between December, 2007 and January, 2008.
