The purity of fruit is impressive with red plums and oranges. Flowers such as lavender and white roses. Medium body. Fine tannins and a racy and focused finish. Lovely fruit at the end underneath the tannins. Drinkable but better in a couple of years.

This is one of the prettiest wines in this portfolio and definitely the lightest in terms of appearance. The 2020 Etna Rosso Munjebel Contrada Feudo di Mezzo Sottana FM is a classic expression of Nerello Mascalese with floral notes, crunchy fruit and streamlined texture. It sees about one month of skin contact during fermentation in small batches with punch-downs. It's easy to let the grape's tannins dominate the wine if one is not careful. Frank Cornelissen has been experimenting with whole bunch fermentation since 2011. Drink: 2022-2030.
