While the tannins show some youthful edge, this Richebourg is unusually perfumed now. Black cherry cordial, violets, plum-and-port tart and underbrush create quite the sensation. Both intense and refined, there is artful balance between the smooth but sturdy tannins and the waterfall of acidic freshness. There are layers upon layers of flavor here. Romanée-Conti is by far the largest owner of Richebourg with its 3.51 hectares 4.5 times larger than the next largest landholder, Domaine Leroy

The 2022 Richebourg Grand Cru is magnificent. And I say that as someone who at times struggles to connect with this site. Not this year. Sepia-toned, ample and layered, with mind-blowing balance, the 2022 offers up an exotic mélange of black fruit, gravel, incense, licorice, new leather and whole cluster savoriness, all with its usual reserve of power. The 2022 is quite simply one of the best Richebourgs in recent memory. For those who can, don't miss it!
Decanter Magazine: 98 Points
More impressive now, if possible, than it was from barrel, with more substance, density, and structure, yet it does not lack abundant, nuanced aromas of ripe mulberry and plum fruit. The wine gives an impression of great intensity; there is impressive length and depth of flavour. The domaine has uprooted nearly 0.9ha of the vines in lieu-dit Les Vérroilles, which has increased the concentration of the Richebourg and carried it nearly to the level of the monopoles. 14,526 bottles produced in 2022.
Wine Spectator: 97 Points
The latter offers opulence and a silky texture, along with rose, strawberry, cherry, sandalwood and mineral flavors. It is open and translucent, balanced and long, in a word, sexy, despite the structure underneath.
