Domaine de L'Arlot Description
The Bourgogne Hautes-Côtes de Nuits appellation is on the rise, offering fresh, ready-to-drink wines. The Pinot Noir here has a cherry-red color with ruby-red highlights. The nose, depending on the vintage, can evoke notes of cherry, blackcurrant, raspberry, wild strawberry, sloe, and redcurrant, accompanied by mint, licorice, pepper, and tobacco. The palate expresses a supple and frank attack, with pulpy fruit and crisp, sometimes more robust tannins. The finish is fresher, with notes of menthol and licorice, which can evolve into spicy aromas.
Vintage Conditions
The year 2023 experienced constantly changing weather patterns with unstable seasons: a mild winter, a spring with fluctuating temperatures, and a generally cooler atmosphere. Grape emergence was very good, heralding a generous harvest. The summer was rainy with unstable weather. These uncertain weather conditions persisted until August 15th, when fine weather finally returned, allowing ripening to continue. Like the 2022 vintage, our traditional Burgundy grape varieties retain a surprising acidity.
