(from vines averaging between 60 and 70 years of age located in Les Champs Perriers, En Derée, Sylvie, Les Jeunes Rois, La Justice, La Burie, Nouroy and La Platière). The wood regimen isn't subtle if not dominant on the markedly earth-inflected nose of notably ripe but fresh dark currant and poached plum aromas. There is once again good volume and richness to the solidly concentrated medium-bodied flavors that coat the mouth on the powerful, lightly austere and firm finale. This is a dense 2023 with lovely balance - one to strongly consider for its level. Drink: 2031+.
