Blend / Composition: Sources differ slightly, but one retailer describes the 2021 as “herbal edged raspberries … floral, lifted … red summer berries … bitter orange elements … salty minerality … great tannins … hit of mint.
Aromas / Flavors: primary red fruits (raspberries, red summer berries), floral and herbal notes, touches of bitter orange, saline/mineral tones, minty edge, fine tannins and energetic acidity.

A particular favorite of my colleague, Yohan Castaing, the 2021 Tempo d'Angélus offers up a gently reductive bouquet of plums and berries framed by a discreet patina of oak. Produced from vineyards in Castillon but declassified to generic Bordeaux for simplicity's sake, it's medium-bodied, fleshy and lively, built around tangy acids and chalky tannins.
