Bereche & Fils Description
Soil and wine: Meuniers from the Marne Valley, with Mareuil-le-Port as its backdrop; its flesh, its clay-marl soil, and its fossilized shells, give Rive Gauche a great complexity of texture.
Old vines planted in 1969 on the "Maisoncelle" site, a mid-slope terroir with a northern exposure.
It is complemented by a steeply sloping plot on the "Côte aux Châtaigniers".
A delicious cuvée, the salmon color and aromas testify to the grapes' beautiful maturity.
A very open wine, the palate presents itself with a full and ample body; the overall effect is enchanting, with exuberantly fiery bubbles.
The finish is saline with thirst-quenching bitters.
